MUSIC ~ iTunes + iPod

Everyone listens to music, right? (If you don't, you should!) For me, music is one of the few things that lets me escape my worries when I need it the most. Well if you haven't done so already, you should really go get iTunes. It is by far the best and cleanest digital jukebox out there for Mac and Windows. It organizes my 10,300 songs perfectly and is the ideal companion for an iPod or iPod Mini (two other great products).

Take a look at my entire iTunes library! The link below will take you to a listing of all the artists that are currently in my library. If you see any errors with CD covers or otherwise, please notify me of it so I can fix it.

VIDEO CONFERENCING ~ iChat AV + AIM

This is definitely the latest and greatest form of free communication. If you think it's still years off, then you haven't heard of the latest AIM and iChat software. If you don't have a web cam then you should go out and get one and get this great capability working for yourself. It's the perfect way to keep in touch with friends and family from all over the world. I have done extensive conferencing from here in SLO with Christina in Orlando with no complaints. It beats holding a phone to my ear, and I get to see her live right there on my screen and hear her through my computer speakers!

iChat AV

The most elegant solution is definitely Apple's iChat AV and iSight. However, for all you Windows users out there, AIM 5.5 now does the job and works seamlessly with iChat. So basically, it doesn't matter whether you're on a Mac or Windows machine, you can conference with anyone who is up and running.

So here's what you need:
• A web cam (I recommend Apple's iSight or Logitech's line)
• A microphone, if not built into your web cam
• For Windows: Download AIM 5.5 and RTC (a small component upgrade to get video working)
• For Mac OS X: Download iChat AV (currently, the beta supports AIM connectivity)

If you get it working, IM me and let me know!
